NMTrix has been developing 3D characters for years, for
both national as international companies. The 12,5 year anniversary in
our opinion was the perfect moment to treat ourselves to our own
ambassador.
It has great advantages to give a
brand or product its own character. The Michelin man Bibendum and Loeki de Leeuw
from STER have been proving this for decades. Also, the
world wide web is now offering many ways and opportunities to make use
of your own character.
A character can show up in tv-commercials, it can be a host on your online platform, but can also play
the leading role in campaign games.
Even letting your interactive
character perform live on congresses and fairs is possible. By making
use of live controlling you can not only present your products on a big
screen, but you can also answer your visitors’ questions.
NMTrix director Patrick Nijman:
“What we wanted to do is create a character which fitted within our
company. The key words were: creative, flexible, playful and energetic.
With the help of these words our own art-director Michael Visser began
developing.”
Visser: “The fundamental idea
was the classical wooden drawing doll, a reference to the tradition
where we, as an animation company, come from. We were striving to give
that a new, modern face which can be used in many ways. Nijman:
“Everybody loved Michael’s creation straight from the beginning. Also
when introducing the character during our party we only received
positive reactions. We are sure we will be having much fun with our new
‘colleague’ Art.”
